Kissamos – Polyrheneia – Falassarna

The village Kissamos situated in a very fertile plain with vineyards and olive trees. Near the port you will also see the small church of Aghios Ioannis, located at a cave-like opening within a cliff. The enthusiasts of hiking will find the Sirikari gorge which the entrance is just off the village Sirikari, and its exit is at Polyrheneia. The village Polyrheneia was one of the most important city-states of Western Crete. Amphitheater built on top of a hill at 418 meters from the sea. The story starts from the Minoan period and reaches to the Roman Learn.

Last destination is Falassarna, a small village by the sea with a long sandy beach, dunes and blue –greenish crystal clear water. Here was the ancient naval port of Polyrheneia. The name came from Main nymph Falassarna.

This tour is about 4.30 – 5 hours and the cost is 135 – 150 €
